土製円盤分布

 Distribution of clay disks

I created a grid-based distribution map of clay disks excavated from the shell layer on the northern slope of the Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound. It seems that many were excavated from the edge of the shell layer. What are clay disks? Are they grinding tools?

有吉北貝塚からの円盤出土数は63で、北斜面貝層から18点出しています。

分布をみると、貝層縁辺部からの出土が多いような印象を受けます。

土製円盤とは何でしょうか？研磨道具でしょうか？
