Northern slope shell layer of Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound
3D distribution model of pottery fragment No. 294
I created a 3D distribution model of the fragments of pottery No. 294 (Kasori EII type middle to new stage) excavated from the north slope shell layer of the Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound from the excavation record information.
Comparison of the 3D distribution of pottery fragments derived from the excavation record and the 3D distribution of pottery fragments derived from the report Example of pottery No. 294
I created and compared a 3D distribution model derived from the original excavation record and a 3D distribution model derived from the graph published in the excavation survey report for pottery fragment No. 294 in the shell layer on the north slope of Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound. This is an activity to get used to excavation slip manipulation techniques.
3D model of fragment distribution of No. 294 pottery unearthed from the shell layer on the northern slope of Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound
A 3D model of the fragment distribution of the No. 294 pottery unearthed from the northern slope shell layer of Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound was created using Blender from the plan and elevation of the pottery fragment distribution. I was able to acquire rudimentary skills to complete 3D model creation in 3D space (= within Blender). The pottery shards appear to have been intentionally scattered.

The red, blue, and green points are 0.1m x 0.1m x 0.1m cubes, and the vertices in the lower left corner when viewed from the front of the 3D model indicate the exact excavation points.
Plan view mesh is 2m x 2m, Elevation view mesh is 2m x 1m
The pottery fragment distribution floor plan and elevation are quoted from the Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound excavation report.
