 Correspondence between 20 Cross-Sections and Excavation Site Photographs

I strengthened my spatial awareness of the site by confirming the correspondence between photographs of the excavation site of the shell layer on the north slope of the Ariyoshi Kita Shell Mound (taken around 40 years ago) and cross-sectional diagrams of the shell layer. The flow carrying pottery fragments (high-concentration flow) is eroding the underlying shell layer.

有吉北貝塚北斜面貝層の発掘現場写真（40年前頃撮影）と貝層断面図との対応関係を確認して、自分の現場空間識を強化しました。土器片を流す流れ（高濃度流）が下位貝層を削っています。

検討材料に基づき、20断面と発掘現場写真の対応関係を把握しました。

密集土器が砂層から出土していて、この砂層が下位の貝層の境は波打っています。これは密集土器を運ぶ砂からなる高密度流が下位貝層を浸食した結果であると観察します。

3　感想

3D資料を扱い分析する上で、現場の空間識を強く持つことが必須です。現場写真と断面図等データの関係を把握することで、現場空間識の強化に役立ちます。
