考古学切手 タンバリの岩絵 カザフスタン発行

 Archaeological Stamps: Tambari Rock Art, Kazakhstan

I enjoyed the Tambari rock art stamps issued by Kazakhstan. Two stamps were issued just before the site was registered as a World Heritage Site, and one stamp commemorating the 20th anniversary of the site's registration. The striking image depicts a sun god with a cluster of dots on his head and dots and lines surrounding it, representing radiation.

山羊が重ねて描画

タンバリ岩絵群は5000点を越える岩絵群で、古いものは紀元前14世紀後半ごろのものと考えられていて、露天の岩面に残されています。動物や人物像のほか、神格化された太陽の顔がいくつも描かれていて、その太陽像の芸術性は高く評価されています。2004年にタンバリの考古的景観の岩絵群（Petroglyphs of the Archaeological Landscape of Tanbaly）として世界遺産に登録されました。（Wikipediaによる）
