I created a pure shape 3D model of Ningyozuka Tomb in Chiba City, with only contour lines as information, and looked at it. The slope of the second stage slope changes along the way. I'm very curious and curious as to whether this is simply the result of erosion, or if the design remains.
Learning about "The so-called land division line of Ningyozuka Tomb in Chiba City" by Numazawa Yutaka
Based on the 24-part tumulus design principle elucidated by Numazawa Yutaka, the dimensions of Ningyozuka Tomb in Chiba City were revealed one after another. Based on this design principle, the design reference surface elevation was theoretically clarified from the excavated foot line topography. Numazawa's paper is an astonishing research result.

Unexpectedly, I came across a boat-shaped Haniwa with a person on it, and created a 3D model. It depicts the core of the "Amanotori-fune faith," in which the souls of the dead travel to the other world on a boat lured by a bird. However, the bird does not appear.
I enjoyed the Samarkand edition of "Travels in Uzbekistan" (serialized article in the magazine "Geography") by Nakaie Keiji et al., and took notes on my impressions. The many charms of Samarkand are discussed. I was intrigued by the fact that the huge underground space at the site of the observatory built by Timur's grandson was a sextant observation facility, and by the Sogdian murals from the 7th to 8th centuries.

Based on the preliminary model work, I created a DEM with 0.1m pitch contour lines, and created a 3D model of Ningyozuka Tomb in Chiba City. A 3D model that allows detailed observation of the tomb's shape has been completed.
Using this 3D model as a tool, I will begin to consider the significance of the land division lines, etc.

During my study of rituals, I developed a concern about stone rods, so I made a 3D model of the observation record of a stone rod for the first time in a long time. This stone rod was excavated from a pit. It may be related to burial.

I extracted 0.5m pitch contour lines from the contour map (0.1m pitch) of Chiba City Ningyozuka Tomb, created a DEM from the contour lines, and created a preliminary 3D model. Although it was preliminary, it turned out to be quite good. When I deformed the vertical ratio to 3 times, I noticed something I had not noticed before.
